Hikvision DS-2CD2420F-IW F2.8 is a great indoor IP network cube camera. It has 2 megapixels resolution, which provides perfect video quality for smaller areas (e.g., a room). Also, this cube camera is equipped with IR night illumination, which reaches up to 10 metres away from a camera. So, even during night-time your premises are being monitored and secured.

Camera that gives you choices

This model of a camera comes with F2.8mm fixed lens. It provides a wide-angled field of view, reaching up to 85°. 

If you need an extra wide field of view, you can choose the F2.0mm fixed lense model of this camera, which provides FOV 132°.

In terms of video recording, you can plug this camera into a network of cameras and to your local Network Video Recorder (NVR), or you can choose to record video locally to MicroSD memory card. Hikvision DS-2CD2420F-IW F2.8 has an integrated memory card slot, which supports MicroSD up to 256GB. Great option if all you need is one camera, thus no need for complicated set-up. Also, advanced H.265+ video compression technology lets you store longer video recordings to the same storage space.

Sensitive motion sensors can detect any motion within 7 metres or closer to the camera. You can set up the camera to start recording the video once motion is detected. Such feature is very useful when you are recording video locally to memory card, as it saves space. Alternatively, you can leave the camera on constant recording mode, which is recommended if it is plugged-in to NVR. 

See everything, hear everything

Integrated microphone allows you to record audio together with the video. So, now you can not only see, but hear what is happening in your premises. Also, this cube camera has an integrated speaker. Which allows you to set a siren alarm once the camera detects a motion, or simply you can speak through it, as the camera comes with integrated 2 way audio communication.

Easiest of connections

Hikvision DS-2CD2420F-IW F2.8 has an integrated Wi-Fi module. You can connect this camera to the Internet (or NVR) either wirelessly through Wi-Fi, or via cable.

PoE technology allows you to power this cube camera through the same UTP (network) cable, that is used for video and audio transmission. Such set-up eases up the installation process dramatically. Alternatively, you can plug this camera to a 12V DC power adapter.
